Contest Entry for Think Pink III: Artisan Crafts

Finally here's my Entry for the Breast Cancer "Think Pink" contest on deviantArt!
The cocktail hat/headdress is hand made and hand sewn, featuring a floral covered, heart-shaped, buckram base, pink silk lining, light pink lace and the feature - a "think pink" ribbon with a single pearl to kept it in place. It attaches to the hair with a single barrette clip.

This Research is very dear to me as I have lost both Grandmothers to Breast Cancer.

I was a bit apprehensive about entering this comp, after my mother told me about her golf organisation. Every year they raise money for a charity and last year it was "Think Pink". They raised about $12,000.
This year they were told by Think Pink that they didn't want their charity as it was too little.
How rude is that.

that sounds really unlike them. We do some work with them through work, and they have always been keen for whatever we can offer. Hmmm... weird.

I will most certainly make you one if you want. That particular one would be AU$40, but really since I hand make them you can have any shape/fabric you like ^_^

Anyways just keep me in mind if you ever want a headdress or any hat for that matter. I hope to put up the rest of my hats by the end of next week ^_^
